This DVD has been designed to be used as an in-house education session tool. Your staff will get the most out of this DVD when they watch a segment of the presentation and then participate in a group discussion that relates what they have learned to the residents they care for in their own work place.

Along with the DVD, comes Staff Assessment sheets (and answers) which can be tailored to individual work places.

Also, Discussion Prompt sheets are included for each sub-section of the DVD. These will help your educator tailor the foot care education sessions to your own facility – encouraging staff to think about their own residents, the equipment they use in their workplace and to become familiar with the policies and procedures relevant to them.

For a short time, the Basic Foot and Hand Care Policies and Procedures Guide is included for free in the training package. This guide helps managers to either set up new, or review existing foot care policies and procedures.

Included in this document are prompts to consider various aspects of a foot care policy, detailed procedural prompts for common foot care tasks and common forms used in basic foot care such as foot assessment, classification and consent forms.
